Post-upgrade checklist
Once a file has been upgraded to MYOB Business, we recommend taking a moment to check everything is in order. If you’ve completed the pre-upgrade tasks, the below should be nice and straightforward.
- Check user access
- Check bank reconciliations are up to date
- Review your bank feed rules
- Check your sales settings and invoice templates
- Is your chart of accounts set up the way you like it?
- Check your employee details before completing your first pay run (Payroll only)
- If you use YourPay to enter employee timesheets, consider setting up MYOB Team (Payroll only)
- If you use the old invoicing app you'll need to download the new MYOB Invoice app.
- Before running reports for GST, check your GST and report settings. There are expanded options available.

What's changed with Payroll
You’ll notice a few changes to payroll workflows, some new features and enhancements now available, and a few things that you can no longer do.
- Simplified workflows such as employee setup and leave management
- Annual leave is calculated and displayed in weeks in line with the Holidays Act
- New enhanced reporting with comprehensive, customizable reporting across seven payroll reports
- More options for leave types and supported bankfiles
- The pay period in the employee determines whether they appear when you do a pay run
