What can I do?

Changes to subscriptions your practice pays for

The additional file subscription discount for files you pay for on behalf of your clients will be removed automatically:

  • on 1 April 2024 (if you pay on a monthly basis)
  • or after 1 April 2024, from the date you receive your next invoice (if you pay annually in advance).

Please refer to the email notification sent in February 2024 with the subject line ‘Changes to the AccountRight Data File Subscription Discount’. This email lists the subscriptions this update applies to. 

 

If you’d like to remain on your current subscription plans, you don’t have to do anything. Your subscription pricing will be updated automatically when the discount is withdrawn.

 

If you would like to make changes to your subscriptions, there are options available to you. Review the MYOB Plan and feature comparison chart.

 

Migrations to another version of AccountRight can take up to 3 weeks. Migrations to MYOB Business take up to 3 business days from receipt of the file.

Changes to your subscription fees will take effect as soon as your migration is complete.

What are my options?

Move your clients to another version of AccountRight

Your clients may have files associated with products with complex features they aren’t using. For example, they may be paying for payroll where they do not have employees. 

For clients affected by the discount removal, you may have the option to migrate files to AccountRight Standard, AccountRight Plus or to AccountRight Premier. 

Restrictions apply. Refer to the table below to see if you can migrate a client file.  If the file has previously used features marked with an  x below, you will not be able to move to the lower product tier. For example, if your client is currently using AccountRight Plus and they have also used Payroll, they cannot downgrade to AccountRight Standard.

Complete the form below to move to a different version of AccountRight. You’ll be able to continue to work on these files while we make the change.

If you move to a different version of AccountRight before 1 April 2024, the additional file discount will be removed from the time your migration is complete.

Migrate your clients’ files to MYOB Business Lite or Pro

If your clients don’t use the more advanced AccountRight features, you can migrate their AccountRight files to MYOB Business Lite or Pro.

MYOB Business has many of the same features as AccountRight, but being a web-based product, it has a different look and feel. Your clients can access AccountRight through the browser now to try it out prior to making their decision.

Some features may not be available after migration.

To migrate a file to MYOB Business:

  1. Fill out the form below including the MYOB Business and tell us whether you’d like to move to MYOB Business Lite or MYOB Business Pro.
  2. We'll contact you about uploading your AccountRight file and support you through the migration process.

If you move to a different subscription before 1 April 2024, your discount will be removed from the time your migration is processed. 

Cancel some of your clients' unused or unwanted files

You can cancel a subscription for any unwanted or unused files by submitting a support request online through MYOB Practice. Visit Cancelling a client's AccountRight company file subscription to find out how.

Cancellation will take effect on the last day of the month as long as you submit a request 10 days before the end of the month (to give us sufficient time to process your request).

Don’t forget to download a backup of your AccountRight files for your records and safekeeping. You have 30 days to extract the data after cancelling your subscription.

Change the payer from your practice to your client

If after discussions with your client, you would like to change the subscription billing to the client you can submit a support request and use the subject line 'Partner pays to client pays'.

Direct Debit Terms and Conditions

  • I have read and agreed to the Direct Debit Terms and Conditions;
  • I have sufficient authority to approve the use of my practice’s existing Direct Debit Request; and
  • I authorise MYOB to withdraw any relevant product fee(s) advertised on myob.com or as otherwise agreed between us from the current bank account or credit card shown in my practice’s existing Direct Debit Request.

Please make sure your payment details are up to date in My Account.

What to expect next? 

Once you’ve submitted your request, you’ll get a confirmation email along with instructions about any additional information you’ll need to provide.

If you’re changing to another AccountRight subscription

Please allow for up to 3 weeks for us to action your request. You can continue to work on your file while you’re waiting for the changes to go live.

If you’re moving to MYOB Business

You’ll need to submit your AccountRight file. Please allow for 3 business days to complete your migration. Any changes made to your file after you have submitted your backup will not be brought across and will need to be re-entered into MYOB Business. Once your migration is completed, we’ll send you instructions on things you’ll need to do to complete your setup.

We’ll notify you when your migration is complete. Please note if you submit multiple files in one request, we will only notify you once we’ve migrated all of the files.
