Eligibility criteria

We're coming together to celebrate the great work of our accounting, bookkeeping and education partners. The MYOB Partner Awards 2024 recognise excellence in the below categories across Australia and New Zealand.

Accounting Practice of the Year

Eligibility

Australian award:
Open to all firms in the accounting industry in Australia who are members of the MYOB Partner Program. 

New Zealand award:
Open to all firms in the accounting industry in New Zealand who are members of the MYOB Partner Program.


Criteria

  • Outline how the firm is executing a growth strategy in the 2024 calendar year.
  • Describe how the firm supported the local community or the accounting industry and what impact this has had on the firm. 

At least one of the following:

  • 1+ staff members of the firm have completed MYOB Academy product certifications.
  • 1+ staff members of the firm have attended a MYOB Discover event at least once in 2024. 

The following are desirable:

  • Have referred MYOB to clients at least 5 times in 2024.
  • Have received an external industry achievement award.
  • Website or digital marketing that promotes MYOB.
  • Member of an accounting industry association.
Bookkeeping Practice of the Year

Eligibility

Australian award:
Open to all firms in the bookkeeping industry in Australia who are members of the MYOB Partner Program.

New Zealand award:
Open to all firms in the bookkeeping industry in New Zealand who are members of the MYOB Partner Program.

Criteria

  • Outline how the firm is executing a growth strategy in the 2024 calendar year.
  • Describe how the firm supported the local community or the bookkeeping industry and what impact this has had on the firm. 

At least one of the following:

  • 1+ staff members of the firm have completed MYOB Academy product certifications.
  • 1+ staff members of the firm have attended a MYOB Discover event at least once in 2024.

 The following are desirable:

  • Have referred MYOB to clients at least five times in 2024.
  • Have an external industry achievement award.
  • Website or digital marketing that promotes MYOB.
  • Member of a bookkeeping industry association.
Education Partner of the Year

Eligibility

Australian award:
Open to Australian Universities, TAFEs, tertiary education institutions, publishers, training companies and other student-focused organisations partnered with MYOB to help students succeed. 

New Zealand award:
Open to New Zealand Universities, Polytechnics, tertiary education institutions, publishers, training companies and other student-focused organisations partnered with MYOB to help students succeed. 

Criteria

  • The education partner is teaching the online version of MYOB.
  • Provide an overview of programs that have assisted students with their education journey.
  • Demonstrate how students have benefited from the education partner’s partnership with MYOB.
  • Provide any further details of your partnership and engagement with MYOB, for example, use of MYOB resources, training/lectures/presentations, MYOB Academy, and working with MYOB team members.
Accounting Practice Award for Innovation & Impact

Eligibility

  • Open to all firms in the accounting industry in Australia or New Zealand who are members of the MYOB Partner Program.

Criteria

At least one of the following:

  • Evidence of positive impact in the accounting industry via training, advocacy, mentorship, or similar programs.
  • Evidence of how technology has been used to improve operational processes and client service at your practice.
  • Evidence of digital marketing of your business which could also include the benefits of digitisation through using MYOB.
Bookkeeping Practice Award for Innovation & Impact

Eligibility

  • Open to all firms in the bookkeeping industry in Australia or New Zealand who are members of the MYOB Partner Program. 

Criteria

Please provide at least one of the following:

  • Evidence of positive impact in the bookkeeping industry via training, mentorship, or similar programs.
  • Evidence of how technology has been used to improve operational processes and client service at your practice.
  • Evidence of digital marketing of your business which could also include the benefits of digitisation through using MYOB.
MYOB Advocate of the Year

Eligibility

This award is assessed by MYOB and the panel of judges and nominations are not open. 

Criteria

Australian Award:
  • This award is based on data analysis of all firms in the accounting and bookkeeping industry in Australia who are members of MYOB’s Partner Program. It recognises MYOB Partners based on yearly subscription referral growth for the period 01 Sep 2023 - 31 Aug 2024 vs 01 Sep 2022 - 31 Aug 2023. Referred subscriptions must be active and have increased by a minimum of 50 referrals during the specified time period.
  • MYOB Partners that meet this metric may be invited to submit further supporting submissions in a form stipulated by MYOB in accordance with the criteria below.

New Zealand Award: 

  • This award is based on data analysis of all firms in the accounting and bookkeeping industry in New Zealand who are members of MYOB’s Partner Program. It recognises partners based on yearly subscription referral growth for the period 01 Sep 2023 - 31 Aug 2024 vs 01 Sep 2022 - 31 Aug 2023. Referred subscriptions must be active and have increased by a minimum of 50 referrals during the specified time period.
  • MYOB Partners that meet this metric may be invited to submit further supporting submissions in a form stipulated by MYOB in accordance with the criteria below.

At least one of the following:

  • 1+ staff members of the firm have completed MYOB Academy product certifications.
  • 1+ staff members of the firm have attended a MYOB Discover event at least once in 2024.

 The following are desirable:

  • Have an external industry achievement award.
  • Website or digital marketing that promotes MYOB.
  • Member of an accounting or bookkeeping industry association.
  • Demonstrates industry participation.

The judging process

  • Individuals and businesses are invited to lodge a personal submission, or to nominate a colleague or business by answering a few questions specific to each Award. An entrant can be nominated for multiple categories.
  • Submissions can be a mixture of written responses, business metrics and qualitative questions plus photo and supporting documents can be attached if desired.
  • Once submissions have closed at 11:59 pm on 15 September 2024, they are then accessed and shortlisted by our judging panel, with winners notified by email and on our website on 15th October 2024.
