This month we’ve had some success with the Mail Merge functionality in Consensus. This is a powerful feature that can help you reach many prospects at once.
What do you do if you need to send the same demo to 50 different prospects at 25 different companies, and don't want to create a new DemoBoard for each and every one? That is a great opportunity to use the mail merge functionality. Mail Merge is available for both Sales and Marketing licenses, and integrates with many marketing tools (and even Excel). MYOB Acumatica Autumn Release
We have been playing in a development build of the Autumn Release (2024.2) to get a feel for the new features and prepare for our production demo deployment. BAU work is well underway, however the enhancement requests and new features won’t be configured until after we have a stable release (March 20025). As always, if there’s any enhancements you’d like to see included, please email us at demoengineering@myob.com.
MYOB Acumatica Snapshots
We have uploaded snapshots to suit build 2024.114.202.2619 to the Partner Self-service Portal. Please note these are based on our original Spring Release snapshots and therefore only include data to October 2024.
Consensus Updates
Thank you to all who joined the Masterclass session held on 6 February 2025. It was great to receive so much positive feedback on the session.
For those who were unable to attend, or would like a refresher, you can access both the recording and the deck via Frontify below.
During the session we promised to share a way to record a Personal Intro Video that includes a virtual or blurred background. Details on how to do this can be found here, with the only change being to select ’Camera Recording’ rather than ‘Screen Recording’ and then using the below button to add your desired background effect.
Once recorded and reviewed, you can download the video and upload to a new Consensus DemoBoard. Please note this method is only suitable for Office 365 users who have access to Microsoft Stream

Workforce Management Setup Guide
The Workforce Management (WFM) Demo Script is complete; however, we’re making a final adjustment to the Setup Guide to include some additional details around Awards. Expect these to both be released early December. Watch this space.

Earlier in the month, Consensus dropped a highly anticipated feature, Playlists (previously touted as Multi Demo Support) on DemoBoards.
This means that your customers can now access multiple demos within a single DemoBoard link. Which means you’ll be getting your customers the right content at the right time for the right contacts. This will help you introduce more products, answer questions faster, and keep deals moving - all from one shared link.

MYOB Acumatica Spring Release
Our MYOB Acumatica Spring Release demo snapshots and demo scripts have been released via the Partner Self-Service Portal here. Sales Demo AU, Sales Demo NZ, Payroll AU and Payroll NZ have all had their transactional data updated to October 2024. But of course, we have also added data to support the brand-new features, as well as extending existing workflows and functionality:
- Distribution Resource Planning (DRP): This functionality helps optimize inventory planning. The settings and data have been configured for you to be able to demonstrate this feature, including forecasts, inventory transfers and new kit assemblies. An appendix has also been added to the Wholesale Distribution Demo Script covering DRP.
- Manufacturing Production Scenarios: The demo script now covers 23 different production scenarios, ranging from 'Simple Make to Stock' to 'Make to Order with Lot Serials'. Bill of Materials’ (and all required configuration) to support these scenarios are also included. However, please note this has only been configured in SalesDemo AU.
- Refreshed CRM Data: The CRM data has been updated with example cases, case classes, updated dashboards, and more. A demo script is in the works and planned for release later in Q4.
- New Dashboards and Approval Maps: Several new dashboards and approval maps have been added.
- Bug Fixes and Enhancements: Various bug fixes and enhancements have been made, including changes to replenishment settings.

A quick refresher on Demo Snapshots and Demo Scripts
A demonstration (or demo) snapshot is a copy of our master demonstration data which you can restore to your own demo site (cloud or local) to give you a fully configured system that supports many industries and workflows. It also includes the transactional data to emulate an actual company. Please note, the individual demo snapshots hosted on the Partner Self-service Portal differ to those that are bundled with the local installer, or provisioned with new demo sites as these are not maintained, nor fully configured.
A demo script is an end-end talk track to help you effectively present MYOB Acumatica. They include workflow information, required persona logins, preparation work required to do before demoing, and of course the step-by-step guide. The demo scripts are written based on the configuration and data within the snapshots previously discussed. Basically, with demo snapshots and demo scripts, you have everything at your fingertips to facilitate an end-to-end demonstration in MYOB Acumatica.
These demo snapshots and demo scripts are updated and published with every major MYOB Acumatica release (the Spring and Autmn releases). To ensure your demo site aligns with these releases, please log a support case to get your demo site moved to the first demo upgrade cohort. Please Note that your site’s build must match the snapshot’s build to use these Snapshots.
Workforce Management Setup Guide
The Workforce Management (WFM) Demo Company Setup guide and updated Demo Script is currently in the final stages of review. Initially we planned on releasing alongside the MYOB Acumatica Spring Release snapshots, however this has been pushed back a month and will be released in November.

Workforce Management Setup Guide
The Workforce Management (WFM) Demo Company Setup guide is currently under review, ensuring it aligns with the WFM Demo Script. We’ll be releasing this alongside the spring release snapshots.
Spring Release
In preparation for the first demo upgrade cohort for the MYOB Acumatica Spring Release (18th of October 2024), we have completed updates of transactional data with efforts are now entirely focused on bringing in additional functionality and extending what’s already there.
As a reminder, we only release snapshots to suit each major release. To ensure your demo site aligns with these releases, please log a support case to get your demo site moved to the first demo upgrade cohort.
Also, with the new build, password requirements have changed. To prepare your demo site for when you are upgraded, you can pre-emptively update your password to meet the new requirements. You must set password that is at least 14 characters long, includes a combination of upper and lower case letters, includes at least 1 special character and 1 number. For example, DemoEngineeringRocks@2024 or I<3MYOBSolutionConsulting. If you do not do this prior and your existing password doesn’t meet requirements, you will be prompted to do so on first login post upgrade.
Consensus
We are currently in the process of refreshing our highest utilised content. This month will be focusing on the Payroll AU and NZ overviews, along with the CFO Overview. With other industry overviews to follow for Manufacturing, Construction, Wholesale Distribution and General.

For those who are unaware, Preview Mode is a way for users to preview the content within a Demo to familiarise yourself with what’s included.
Demo Preview Mode is accessed by opening the webapp clicking Demos>Demo Library, finding the demo you want to preview and clicking the eye icon in the Actions section.
Please note that links to Preview Mode should never be given to customers, for two main reasons: Firstly, Preview Mode doesn’t track any Customer interaction with content, so you lose potential valuable insights and a key challenge that Consensus solves. These links also cannot be shared for the purpose of stakeholder discovery; therefore, you’re potentially missing out on uncovering key decision makers.

Thanks to everyone who joined the Consensus Tours enablement session earlier in the month. During this session our amazing host Hayley provided a deep dive into the usage of Tours and also introduced some additional supporting collateral; Question Guide and Walk Through Guides. The Question Guide provides some example discovery questions to help you further uncover any Customer challenges in your discovery meeting. Whereas the Walk Through Guides provides a summary, value statements, and a storyline for each Tour. They can help you understand the main ideas and the flow of the Tours. These combined with the Question Guide can prepare you for your conversations with customers. In April the Partner Professional Services (ProServe) and Solution Consulting (Pre-Sales) teams merged with ProServe being reborn as the Partner Solution Engineer Team (PSET). Both teams remain dedicated to their core functions with the added benefit of collaborative expertise.
As part of that announcement here we mentioned the PSE Team’s role would continue to evolve to better equip you.
PSET will focus on providing enhanced value to our partner channel through building deeper expertise, improved resources, and enhanced visibility into best practices.

What hasn’t changed?
- PSET will continue to respond to your implementation queries via the PSErequests@myob.com email queue.
- Queries are addressed in the order received.
- Critical issues and faults should be raised via a support case.
- Once a site is live, all further queries should be raised via a support case.
What has changed?
When sending an email to PSET, this should contain:
- Only one specific question
- Your Phoenix or Customer ID and name
- The solutions being implemented
- Any relevant screenshots
Be clear and concise in your query and state your desired outcome.
PSE will prioritize assisting with implementation queries relating to core functionality. Partners can request a quote from our Direct Services team for assistance with items such as:

Our 2023.1xx.3xx snapshots have been released and are available to download from via the Partner Self-Service Portal here. Along with feature updates, these snapshots have been configured with the inclusion of corporate credit cards, approval maps and lastly some fixes (thanks for all your feedback). Sales Demo AU, Sales Demo NZ, Payroll AU and Payroll NZ have all had their data updated to April 2024. Lastly, to align with updated security (see this post), all passwords in our Demo Snapshots have been updated. The updated password can be found within the Demo Scripts. We’d strongly advised you update this password when restoring.

We’ve supported both major Advanced releases, the Autumn and Spring release, by providing updated Snapshots which included updated Demo Data, implementation of newly recently released features/functionality, included additional missing transactions/setup (thanks for everyone who submitted feedback!!) and lastly aligned Demo Scripts to updated functionality where required.
A new Demo Script for Wholesale Distribution was released, which focuses on two key workflows being, ‘Quote to Cash’ and ‘Procure to Pay’.
The Field Services demo script was updated to include an additional workflow for Projects to Field Services.
EXO Side Panel Project was a customisation included in our SalesDemo AU and SalesDemo NZ snapshots to include some familiarity to key Profile and Transactions screens to replicate similar screens/functionality for those customers looking to migrate from EXO to Advanced.
Workforce Management
Workforce Management has also received significant updates to the Setup Guide along with both he AU and NZ Demo Scripts.
Consensus
In 2023 (so far) we’ve released 18 new Advanced Videos, created 1 new DemoBoard and lastly refreshed 3 existing videos. This brings our total single video tally to 136, and DemoBoards to 21.
From a Sales usage perspective, combined you’ve sent over 1700 DemoBaords and over 300 hours of content has been watched by your prospects and customers. Meaning you have that time to spend on other higher value sales related activities! You’ve also discovered over 300 additional stakeholders in the buying process to really help drill down on multiple personas requirements and even identify other key decision makers.
From a Marketing usage perspective, combined there’s been over 70 hours of content watched, resulting in 195 Qualified Leads!
We also published all of our single videos for you to give you the flexibility to use Consensus in a way that best suits your own processes.

The Exo Employer Services (ES) retirement announcements are driving engagement with Exo customers towards digital transformation, both from a payroll & ERP perspective. Exo customers expect MYOB teams to understand the platforms they are considering moving from and to, given they are under the MYOB umbrella. This includes the strengths & weaknesses of both platforms. Tools have been developed to inform our teams and enable them to speak confidently with our Exo customers, to provide them with a compelling experience. Partners may have already developed similar materials within your own business, but MYOB are sharing the resources developed internally to perhaps supplement partner’s own tools. A webinar was held on Thursday 19th of October covering these materials. If you missed, the recording along with all previous Solution Consulting Webinars can be found on PRC. The Information Gathering Guide has replaced the Qualification Guide. This is now available on PRC and the Qualification Guide has been removed. Tip and Tricks
Want to increase your Consensus view rate by up to 43%? A personal intro video or PIV, allows you to add a personalised greeting on top of the DemoBoard you’re sending your customers. Giving you a way to introduce yourself, advise the customer what to expect and what to do with the DemoBoard itself. Looking at the Consensus data we’ve obtained since launching early 2022 and that of all the Consensus Customer base, we’ve seen the View Rate increase from 36% to 79% when a PIV is used, giving a 43% increase and stakeholder discovery also increasing 10-fold. So please watch this 5-minute video which covers the benefits of using a PIV, how to create a PIV and lastly tips and tricks you can use when creating your own.

To do this, login to https://app.goconsensus.com

We’re kicking off a Manufacturing project this month to introduce some additional process flows. This will include supporting Demo Data and Demo Scripts. Watch this space for further information.
We’d also like to remind partners that Solution Consulting only release snapshots twice yearly which align with first GA release of each major releases (Spring and Autumn). To ensure you can use these snapshots, please log a ticket in Partner Portal to be moved to the Autumn and Spring release demo upgrade windows occurring in April & October each year. If you choose to stay on a different build, and you want to use our snapshots, you’ll need to follow the guide below on how you can upgrade a snapshot to match your demo sites build.

Our Consensus Q2 Video drop has been published! From an Enterprise Industries side, this includes two new MYOB Advanced videos; Related Items and Drop Shipments. Both are included in the MYOB Advanced – Distribution Standard DemoBoard, as well as being available as standalone videos.
With Employee Onboarding being launched last quarter, a standalone video is also now available on Consensus. Please note this is only for AU customers. An NZ equivalent will be coming soon.
Some new ISV content has also been uploaded. Firstly, a new standard DemoBoard for FieldInsight. This includes 5 videos for Quoting, Scheduling, Timesheeting, Asset Management and Project Management. We’ve also created another new standard DemoBoard for BundyPlus, combining existing content, with 2 new videos on BundyPlus Live and BundyPlus Now, the web app and mobile app respectively. Lastly a single video for TIG Freight Management.
Our next planned release will be coming end Q3.

As advised last month, we are working on a document outlining how a Solution Consultant will qualify an opportunity based on Discovery and in turn the process that follows. This is currently under final review and will be published on PRC early Q3.
We’ve also started work on a process flow document noting the journey of a Partner opportunity through the Solution Consulting Team. This document gives clear view of what will happen when an opportunity is logged with the Solution Consulting Team, i.e., what steps are taken before an opportunity is assigned a Solution Consultants, Channel Sales Manager expectations, what Partner expectations should be, etc.

To include new functionality delivered in the Autumn Release, the SC Team is updating the Demo Environment material and snapshots. These are currently out for review and will be made available by the end of April. A community forum post will be published on release.
Construction
For the Construction Snapshot, the Solution Consulting Team is refreshing the demonstration data and are also working towards including QBCC functionality.
Consensus
So far this year, we have had over 313 DemoBoards sent via the Partner Channel, with a 52% view rate which equates to over 70 hours of view time!
Phase 7 of Consensus has been completed and videos are now available. The Consensus Single videos have also been released by Partners’ requests.

The agendas and the dates for the Expansion and Migration webinars have been confirmed. The Webinars will be run every 3rd Friday of the month beginning in June with Field Service Management, followed by Migration in July. Manufacturing – For Manufacturing, we have started sprints to update the demo environment, demo script and Consensus videos for the new Quality Management System functionality.
Construction – For the Construction Snapshot, we will refresh the demo data and we will also work towards having the documentation and demo data ready for the QBCC functionality prior to QBCC release.
eCommerce – A reminder that our eCommerce Demo Script is now available via the Partner Self-Service Portal!
Consensus
We have listened to the Partners and the Consensus Single videos will be accessible early Q2
So far this year, we have had over 187 DemoBoards sent via the Partner Channel, with a 42% view rate which equates to over 30 hours of view time!

We’re in the process of firming up the agenda for the webinars for Expansion and Migration. A community Forum post will be posted with meeting invites and details on when these webinars will be held. From an Expansion perspective, these include Field Service Management, Construction & Projects, Process Manufacturing, and the eCommerce connection. For Migration, a webinar covering EXO to Advanced.

Environments
Advanced Autumn release – We’ve started our planning phase, with our Solution Consultants working through Acumatica release notes to get an understanding of what will be required from a demo data, demo script, and Consensus point of view to ensure we’re able to present updated features/functionality. Work will start on this during the EAP which kicks off on the 20th of February and our snapshots will be available in April.
WFM Reconnect – We’ve updated the WFM Demo Script and Setup Guides, and these are currently in review. We’ll make these available in the Partner Self Service Portal at the end of Q1.
Payroll Dashboards – This one has been a long time coming. We’re currently in UAT for a brand-new Payroll Employee Dashboard to be included in our Payroll AU/NZ demo snapshots. We’ll be releasing this with our Autumn release.
Construction – As a reminder, we’re also in the process of rebuilding the Construction snapshot. We’ve finalized the story and workflows and are working on persona details. We’ll provide updates in the coming months ITK.
eCommerce – As promised last month, the eCommerce Demo Script is NOW AVAILABLE via the Partner Self-Service Portal!
Consensus
We’ve changed the timing of how our phases will be released going forward, now having a single phase per quarter. The phase 7 videos are well underway and we’ll provide more details on these next month. So far this year, we’ve had over 130 DemoBoards sent via the Partner Channel, with a 42% view rate which equates to over 15 hours of view time! We’ve confirmed the viability of having both Construction and Projects in the same demo tenant with only menu workflow changes required, and the enabling/disabling Cost Codes depending on which feature you want to demonstrate. With the above confirmed, we’re now deep in scoping to confirm the story, workflows, and personas to suit Construction.
With our Shopify/BigCommerce Demo Data configured in the 2022 Spring Release, the accompanying Demo Script is also ready for release and is under final review. This will be published on the Partner Self Service Portal in early February. Watch this space!
