Upcoming MFA rollout for MYOB PayGlobal Employee Self Service

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will soon be introduced to MYOB PayGlobal Employee Self Service, to enhance security and ensure compliance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) guidelines for payroll solutions.
MFA is a second layer of protection beyond your email and password, that makes it harder for unauthorised users to access your MYOB solution.
This is a critical security feature to safeguard Personal Identifiable Information and aligns with ATO security guidelines.
A new version of the MYOB PayGlobal Employee Self Service portal will be released in the coming weeks, after which MFA functionality will become available in Australia. MFA is scheduled to roll out to your MYOB PayGlobal Employee Self Service portal on 14 August 2025.
After this feature has been enabled, your employees will receive an email notification asking them to set up their MFA. Following the above date, your employees can continue accessing MYOB PayGlobal Employee Self Service without MFA for up to 30 days; at which point they must setup MFA to access MYOB PayGlobal Employee Self Service. Multiple verification methods will be available, such as an authentication app or One-Time Passwords via email.
To prepare your business for MFA, we recommend taking the following steps:
Communicate with your employees about the upcoming changes and next steps. You can view an email template here you can share with your employees.
Ensure that MYOB email notifications will not be blocked by your internal spam filters. Let your IT team know these emails are headed your way and ask them to whitelist emails from @mail.myobpayglobal.com to ensure your employees receive the various communication.
Please note that MFA will only be enabled for Australian customers. If you have multiple MYOB PayGlobal Employee Self Service portals across Australia and New Zealand, please let us know if you would like MFA to be rolled out across both portals.
Single Sign-On
If you plan to introduce single sign-on (instead of MFA) to secure your Employee Self-Service portal, please contact your account manager at MYOB.
