How to earn your new Certified Practice recognition
To earn Certified Practice recognition, simply complete these three Certification courses at MYOB Academy:
MYOB Business Certification
MYOB Business Payroll Certification
MYOB Practice Certification.
One or more staff members can complete the three courses. For example, three staff members can complete one certification course each.

When you (or staff members) complete the three Certification courses at MYOB Academy, your Certified Practice recognition is awarded at no charge.

How does my business become a Certified Practice?
To become a Certified Practice, staff member/s within your practice need to complete the following three certifications:

MYOB Business Certification

MYOB Business Payroll Certification (AU or NZ)
- MYOB Practice Certification.
Certifications remain with the individual, so if the staff member leaves your practice, another staff member would need to hold that Certification. It is recommended (where possible) that more than one staff member complete these Certifications to ensure your business remains a Certified Practice.
How do I enrol in the Certification courses?
The Partner Program offers certification through tailored education at MYOB Academy.

Will my business earn Partner Program status points for Certifications completed?
Yes. Your practice will earn status points in the Partner Program for each Certification course that is completed by at least one staff member of the practice as follows:
MYOB Business Certification - 80 points
MYOB Business Payroll Certification (AU or NZ) - 20 points
MYOB Practice - 20 points.
Please note that each Certification is capped at one completion per Certification to earn status points per year.
Where do I download the Certified Practice badge?
In late January 2024, you will be able to download the awarded Certified Practice badge from the Partner Hub page in MYOB Practice.
Will my business need to renew Certification courses each year?
Yes, the Certification courses expire annually, 12 months after completion.
You or your staff member will receive a renewal notice 60 days before the renewal is due to expire.
You or your staff member will need to renew the expired Certification for you to retain both the status points, and the Certified Practice endorsement.
Do I need to recertify, if I have already completed the required learning?
No. If you or your staff members have already completed the required three Certification courses by 31 December 2023, you automatically qualify as a Certified Practice in 2024.
Annual renewal of Certifications still applies.
Can I become a Certified Practice if my practice is not an MYOB Partner Program member?
No. Certified Practice recognition is only available to practices that are members of the MYOB Partner Program.
Do I need a new my.myob login?
What is happening to the Certified Consultant and Approved Partner (NZ only) programs?
The Certified Consultant program and the Approved Partner (NZ only) program ended on 31 December 2023.
With improvements to the MYOB Partner Program, a new Certified Practice endorsement has been introduced, which focuses on developing you and your staff as MYOB experts for our business management platform.
If I am a Certified Consultant or an Approved Partner (NZ only), can my business obtain Certified Practice endorsement?
Yes. Both Certified Consultants and New Zealand-based Approved Partners can qualify for Certified Practice endorsement by a staff member completing the required three certification courses.
To become a Certified Practice, staff member/s within your practice need to complete the following three certifications:
· MYOB Business Certification
· MYOB Business Payroll Certification (AU or NZ)
· MYOB Practice Certification.
How will I access client files that are linked to my Certified Consultant/Approved Partner serial number?
Nothing will change. Your access to client files and your serial number remains the same.
What happens to Company Data Files associated to my Certified Consultant/Approved Partner serial number?
Nothing will change. You will not be issued with a new serial number.
You can continue to use your Company Data Files as you do now.
Will I be issued with a new serial number when the Certified Consultant and Approved Partner (NZ only) programs finish?
No. You will not be issued with a new serial number.
Will my business still be recognised for long service?
Yes. Recognition of long service will be measured by the earliest date of membership to one of these MYOB programs:
MYOB Online Partner Program
Bookkeeper Program
Connected Accountant Program
Certified Consultant Program.
